The FIA International Licence holder, Lotus Ladies Cup, is an attractive and unique racing championship exclusively for female drivers, where rookies and semi-professionals participe together. The cup was first awarded in 2011 and drew immediate attention with great racing action on the track.
The Lotus factory produced a total of 16 copies of a specially modified Lotus Elise with a 1.6 140HP engine and fitted them with Yokohama AD07 tyres specially designed for this model. The starting grid features different nationaloities from Puerto Rico through The Netherlands to Hungary and the events were organised as a support race in such famous series as Formula 1, DTM, ADAC GT Masters, WSR, WTCC and FIA GT Series.
In its fourth season in 2014, the fans can see again the thrilling battles in two live - 30-minutes plus 1 lap - race sessions at 6 different famous circuits.
The FIA LOTUS LADIES CUP was approved in July 2013 as the first ever championship solely for ladies under FIA. A new era has just started in women's motorsport!
