Lotus once again attended the annual Motor Show at Zurich which took place at Messe Zurich from the 8th to the 11th November 2012. Last years 25th Anniversary show hosted an impressive 40 vehicle premiers and this year welcomed well over 60,000 visitors over the 4 days in November. The event spread across a spectacular 8 Halls with participation from 650 exhibitors.
A diverse range of Swiss and foreign dealers presented the most desired models to the market: and Lotus was very proud to present the stunning Lotus Exige S through a host of local Dealers.
Unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2011, this extreme track and road car represents the very essence of Lotus – ultimate lightweight raw performance combined with unparalleled ride and handling which promises a mind blowing drive like no other.
From headlights to rear wing, its aggressive stance underlines a performance pedigree few can match. Its 345 hp (350 PS) supercharged V6 engine is not for the faint hearted. Track-inspired details such as the all-new aerodynamic package, race-inspired steering wheel and supportive seats amplify its potent abilities.
The Exige S features high performance Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tyres as standard with a Lotus DPM (Dynamic Performance Management) switch that allows the driver to switch between three driving modes: Touring, Sport and DPM off.
An additional Race Pack option is available offering a fourth driving mode providing maximum possible traction out of corners, an optimised track suspension setting and Launch Control.
And with two new interior package options available you get to spec your Exige S exactly as you want it. A Premium Pack option provides added comfort and style, whereas the Premium Sport option focuses on creating an internal cockpit optimised for ultimate driver involvement.
Lotus enthusiasts were also able to view the latest addition to the Elise range with the supercharged 1.8 litre Lotus Elise S. The car delivers 217hp with an impressive 0-100 km/h speed in 4.6 seconds – astonishing performance from such a lightweight car.
The Lotus Elise CR, the still stylish but stripped backed 1.6 litre racer variant, is 24kg lighter than the standard Elise and is a pure driving experience, and some of the best fun you can have on four lightweight wheels.
For those looking for a little more interior comfort without losing the renowned Lotus driving power and attitude, the Evora S IPS combines the supercharged V6 engine with an automatic gearbox.
