Lotus will be out en-masse this year for the 24-Heures-du-Mans 90th anniversary competing in LMP1 and LMP2 and showing-off the newest addition to the Lotus family, the Exige S Roadster.

Lotus, together with its LMP1 team Lotus Rebellion Racing, and LMP2 team Lotus Praga, prepare for the famous French weekender and gets set to journey through the night to complete the longest distance possible in 24 hours. It’s a gruelling challenge but one Rebellion Racing and Lotus Praga Teams are ready to take on!

Lotus Praga LMP2 is looking forward to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The endurance classic at the Sarthe celebrates its 90th birthday this year and Lotus is proud to be part of this special event.

The new Lotus Praga T128 LMP2 did its first laps on the 13,629 kilometer long Circuit des 24 Heures at the obligatory test day last week. Lotus was able to gain a lot of data on this challenging race track and completed a total of 124 laps.

V6-powered cars dominated proceedings as Lotus Cup Europe returned to Germany.

Jon Walker powered his Exige to two close victories from Evora-mounted Gregory Rasse at Hockenheim, with Nikolaj Ipsen’s Exige and Thierry Verheist’s Evora completing the top four.

The 2-Eleven of Jean-Pierre Genoud-Prachex and Herbert Mezker’s four-cylinder Exige prevented Nick Walker making it a V6 top five lockout in race one and two respectively. The pair celebrated with class victories in both races, whilst David Harvey’s Open class win places the veteran’s 340R second in the title race overall behind Rasse.

Rob Fenn narrowly defeated Adrian Hall in round three of Lotus Cup UK as the championship supported the DTM at Brands Hatch.

The pair, who both suffered poor starts to their seasons, battled throughout the hour-long race, with the lead changing hands but two decisive moves from Fenn signalled his determination to win.
