Group Lotus acquired Lotus Lightweight Structures in 2008 to support its strategy of vertically integrating the lightweight chassis production within the business.

We are proud that our business has historically supplied many clients across a diverse range of market sectors with a range of high quality, precision engineered structures, components and engineering services.

Lotus Lightweight structures has long been a supplier into the Automotive industry, at both Tier 1 and Tier 2 levels within the supply chain. Our business also delivers the chassis and aluminium component requirements of Lotus Cars enabling the lightweight structures to be delivered and assembled within our niche sports car manufacturing facility.

In line with many great Lotus innovations over the years, Lotus Lightweight Structures Ltd. has evolved and developed the use of structural bonding within the automotive industry enabling a lightweight design to maximise weight savings to truly optimize the mass reduction leading to the ultimate target of CO2 reduction from the vehicle.
