Star spangled weekend

The World Series by Renault staged at Paul Ricard turned out to be quite an event. Some 70,000 fans experienced some exciting racing over the two days in the challenging wet and slippery conditions.
Despite the inclement weather fans were thrilled to see Lotus F1 Team drivers Romain Grosjean and Jerome d'Ambrosio performing demos. The highlight was the return of the great Alain Prost driving the Lotus R30.

The second race in World Series Renault 3,5 at Paul Ricard started out in wet conditions. Marco Sørensen made a good start in his Lotus, overtaking ten of his competitors in two laps and moving quickly into top 10.

Marco Sørensen:
"I made good start and really found my way around most of my competitors, overtaking in all possible moments"  "It was a matter of which tyres we should choose, the track was not totally wet and not dry, I stayed on rain tires, but got a new set on".

Marco kept on pushing and finshed the race in P5.

Kevin Korjus was placed 8th.
