OUR LEGACY

Lotus emerged from the brilliant mind of Colin Chapman. From the very start, he was obsessed with smart and efficient solutions. Where every racing marque of the 50s and 60s chased more power, he understood power only thrived in synergy with the design and weight of the car.

OUR CORE

Since 1966 Hethel has been the beating heart of Lotus. In 2019, Lotus expanded its engineering realm with the addition of the Lotus Global EV Production Centre in Wuhan.

Hethel remains the legendary home of bold and era-defining cars. Hand-assembled, stunning showcases of bona fide British manufacturing. Extensively tested on the renowned Hethel Test Track before being delivered to their first owner. From the first Lotus Europa to the latest Emira.

Wuhan adheres to the same craftsmanship, adding cutting-edge technology to the mix. It allows us to push and define new frontiers in automotive, and deliver a new class of cars to today’s drivers.

World-class engineering has always been our driving force. Lotus Engineering provides comprehensive consultancy services to many of the world’s OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. It is internationally recognised for its long-standing contribution to ground-breaking engineering and innovative vehicle development.

Highlights include building the world’s first electric sports car, and turning motorsport knowledge into Olympic Gold.

OUR CARS

With the launch of the world’s first all-electric Hypercar Evija in 2019, Lotus ushered in a new era of automotive excellence.

The Evija was quickly followed by the all new Lotus Emira (2021), the most accomplished and captivating Lotus sports car, and the all-electric Lotus Eletre (2022) and Lotus Emeya (2023). Best-of-breed luxury Hyper-EVs – defining a new class of cars.
